Ideas for September
- Change pots: With the days getting shorter and temperatures falling next month, it’s time to think about changing plants in your pots to give an Autumn/Winter display. I’ve done one of mine here.
- Lawncare: September is the month for scarifying and giving your lawn an Autumn feed.
- “Autumn clean”: If you have a greenhouse or cold frames, start preparing for putting plants away for the winter. Cleaning before the plants go in will help prevent disease spreading over winter.
- Buy bulbs: Get your supply of spring flowering bulbs, to plant them over the next two months. Why not look up a range of bulbs which can give you blooms from January-June?
