- Plant hedges: Now is a good time for bare root planting, and if you are thinking of installing some hedging (either evergreen or deciduous) mid autumn is ideal.
- Repot Acers: In Autumn you can work on deciduous trees. Acers in particular will appreciate being transplanted now, when they are dormant.
- Pot Paperwhite Daffodils: This could be your last chance effort to pot some indoor bulbs for Christmas colour and scent.
- Make leaf mould: If you’re clearing leaves, then why not bag or cage some to make luscious, light leaf mould for next year?
